Become a Coalition CSA!

All CSAs endorsed by the Kansas City CSA Coalition have been through a peer-reviewed application and interview process to ensure their ability to provide quality organic foods and customer service.  Member KCCSAC farms each follow the CSA model in offering farmstead foods including vegetables, fruits, meats, cheeses, jams, or other goods to their CSA members.

Each Fall, the KCCSAC accepts applications from farms interested in being formally endorsed by the KCCSAC for the following growing season.  Farmers must submit a full application and have an interview conducted by the KCCSAC’s board.  Farms accepted into the Coalition may participate in the annual CSA Open House; receive promotion through the KCCSAC website, newsletters, and paid advertising; and benefit from the support and resources of KCCSAC growers, programs, and staff throughout the year.

A note about member farm participation: The KCCSAC is not simply a listing service.  As a coalition, we expect our member farmers to participate in Coalition activities to the best of their ability, and to encourage their CSA members to do the same.  This helps form the cohesive community which supports our local foodshed (grower-to-grower, grower-to-eater, and eater-to-eater), and is a vital component of Community Supported Agriculture.  If you have questions regarding farmer participation, please feel free to contact us.
