Share Structure:

  • FULL SHARE………………….$15/week. $42 deposit at the beginning of the season ($12 is non-refundable; $30 is either refundable at the end of the season or applied to the last two distributions of the season).
  • PARTIAL SHARE……………..$11/week. $34 deposit at the beginning of the season ($12 is non-refundable; $22 is either refundable at the end of the season or applied to the last two distributions of the season).

PAYMENT OPTIONS: CSA members can pay weekly, monthly, or at sign-up for the entire season. If they are unable to pay for the entire season up-front, monthly payments are encouraged.

What can shareholders expect in their share?

Jill grows vegetables, herbs, and small fruit. There is a possibility of adding eggs to the shares this year; contact Jill for details. Also included in the shares are e-newsletters every other week with farm news, recipes, and food preparation/storage tips.

WHAT MAKES MOON ON THE MEADOW’S CSA UNIQUE:

Jill has been farming for eight years, and started her growing CSA in 2006. Located within the Lawrence city limits, Moon on the Meadow attained organic certification in 2008.

The farm hosts part-time, paid internships in cooperation with the Growing Growers program, and is seeking one apprentice for 2010. Volunteers who are interested in learning more about how the farm works are always welcome; contact Jill for information. Moon on the Meadow hosts an open house at the farm every year; 2010 date TBD.
