Share Structure: You choose the meat category when you sign up for the subscription. Your choices are: (1) Beef and Lamb OR (2) Beef Only. Let Debbie know the cuts within your chosen meat category that you know you will use and also those that you may never use, so that your bundle can be tailored to your liking.
- 5 LB. MEAT BUNDLE: Includes any of the cuts we offer within the category you chose at signup, consisting of a minimum of 40% higher-end cuts. (more information coming soon)
- 10 LB. MEAT BUNDLE: Includes any of the cuts we offer within the category you chose at signup, consisting of a minimum of 40% higher-end cuts. (more information coming soon)
- 11+ LB. MEAT BUNDLE: Includes any of the cuts we offer within the category you chose at signup, consisting of a minimum of 40% higher-end cuts. (more information coming soon)
PAYMENT OPTIONS: You can sign up for a year-long share, or a 6-month share.
- Full share payment due at signup (example (for a 10-lb. share at $7.50/lb.): $77.50 X 6 = $465.00, plus tax); or
- Pay half up front, then pay the remainder of the share cost at distribution each month for the rest of the year (example (for a 10-lb share at $7.50/lb.): $232.50 down at sign-up, then $38.75 per month, plus tax).

WHAT MAKES HOMESPUN HILL FARM UNIQUE: Homespun Hill Farm started its CSA in 2008 and is entering its third year. One of the few “meat CSAs” available in the Kansas City metro, Homespun Hill’s CSA runs yearlong (meats are frozen for winter). Debbie and husband Steve have been farming for 10 years, although Steve’s parents have been at it for over 40! Exclusively organic practices (including no chemicals) are used at Homespun Hill, though they are not certified organic.
At this time, Homespun Hill does not require its shareholders to do work shifts at the farm or distribution sites; however, volunteers are welcome (please contact Debbie to schedule a visit). Homespun Hill does offer internships through the Growing Growers KC program (contact Debbie for information). Even if you can’t make it out to the farm, feel free to come meet the Homespun Hill farmers at the Baldwin City Maple Leaf Festival in October!
Available for purchase at distribution, Homespun Hill offers pastured chicken, stewing hens, and farm-fresh eggs. Shareholders are also welcome to purchase more at distribution of anything Homespun Hill offers. Let Debbie know in advance of items you especially like, such as Leg of Lamb or Beef Brisket, for holidays and special occasions!
